This article will show you how to pin a specific application and file to your stat-up menu. Pinned application, files and document will automatically opens when you start your computer. It will automatically run or open the specific application upon computer start-up. Follow these steps to pin a files or application.

1. To pin a document or files on start-up menu

You can pin a specific files on your start-up menu, files like Microsoft Word Document, Microsoft Excel workbook, Microsoft PowerPoint slides, Jpeg files, PDF files and other kind of files to pin your selected files on your start men;

  • Select the file

  • Hold the file and drag to your Start Menu and drop

  • Note that it was only a shortcut of the file that are shown on your start menu. Original files where save in the same directory where you get the file. You can rearrange the shortcut by holding dragging it up and down.

2. To pin a Application on start-up menu

  • To attach a specific application on your start menu, go to start

  • Click on All Programs

  • Select the application that you want to pin on your computer start menu

  • Right Click

  • Select “Pin to Start Menu”
