You don’t want to mess up your diet so you try to ignore it. Well here’s some good news. Eating small, healthy snacks in between meals is a great way to help boost your metabolism. It also helps prevent you from skipping a meal and overeating at the next. You just have to eat right. Below are some great ideas to help you fight that midday hunger and help you reach your weight loss goal.
If you have a sweet tooth then the easiest one you can do is frozen grapes or bananas. If you have never tried them frozen then you are missing out. The grapes almost become like a candy in texture. The bananas will go great with some fat free chocolate syrup.
Fruit smoothies made of strawberries and bananas are a great quick, nutrient rich snack. Just make sure you use water. fat free milk, or real fruit juice. Using things such as ice cream will completely cancel out what you are trying to do. When you make your smoothie just use:

- 1 cup of bananas
- 1 cup nonfat milk
- 1 cup water
- 3 cups ice cubes
(and for a protein packed smoothie, just a add a couple scoops of your favorite protein powder.)

There are also some ingredients you can use to add some flavor. Try mixing in some fat free mayo or fat free cheese as well as some diced onions or tomatoes. Try to keep the serving to around 14 crackers and 5 oz of tuna. This only has 288 calories, 8 grams of fat, and a healthy 32 grams of protein.
Tuna or Chicken salad sandwich
On whole wheat bread, put and 4 oz serving of canned tuna or chicken mixed with relish, fat free mayo or mustard. Once again you can add some onions, lettuce, or tomato for flavor with some fat free cheese.
Definitely a much better choice over ice cream. In a half cup serving there is only 110 calories and 3g of fat in the low fat kind. Be careful not to eat too much, because almost all of these calories are coming from sugar.
