UFC 131 will be a great fight card even thought Brock Lesnar is out with Diverticulitis. Shane Carwin is a good replacement to fight Junior dos Santos. I actually like Carwin better, but he fades in the later rounds. UFC 131 will air live from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia. The main event features four good fights and one possibility; the main event will be exciting and filled with fireworks. The last heavyweight standing will meet Cain Velasquez for the UFC Heavyweight Championship later in 2011.

  • Junior dos Santos vs. Shane Carwin-Brock Lesnar is out, he has Diverticulitis, was operated on and will not fight in the UFC for a while. Shane Carwin steps in to fight Junior dos Santos at UFC131. Shane Carwin is a powerful puncher and should give Junior dos Santos a run for his money. Junior dos Santos has the advantage over Carwin in this fight because Shane Carwin fights hard, but tires quickly. This fight should be full of excitement and fireworks-don’t miss it-The winner of this fight will fight Cain Velasquez for the UFC Heavyweight Championship later in 2011.

  • Kenny Florian vs. Diego Nunes-Diego Nunes is a former WEC fighter who is stepping up to fight Kenny Florian-Kenny Florian is a great fighter who is a contender, but has never made it to the top, he lost his last fight against Gray Maynard last August. Kenny wants to win this fight and begin his climb up the ladder again in the UFC. This will be the featherweight debut for Kenny Florian, Florian is the man with the dangerous elbows from the ground

  • Mark Munoz vs. Demian Maia-Both fighters are good, Demian Maia may be better, but we will find out on Saturday night-Will this fight be exciting or boring is the question of the day. I hope for a great fight between two very good MMA fighters

  • Vagner Rocha vs. Donald Cerrone-Donald Cerrone is an exciting fighter and a former WEC star, he is 1-0 in the UFC, Vagner Rocha is a new name in the UFC, and the Brazilian will be an interesting fight for Donald Cerrone-Look for Donald Cerrone to win an exciting fight on Saturday night.

  • Jon Olav Einemo vs. Dave Herman-Dave Herman is a great heavyweight fighter who formerly fought in the Bellator, Jon Olav Einemo is a fighter from Norway who fought in Pride and Japan-who knows what will happen in this fight, but hopefully these two heavyweights bring it on Saturday night

  • Yves Edwards vs. Sam Stout-Yves Edwards always brings it and Sam Stout always brings it, this should be an exciting preliminary fight against two excellent UFC fighters, make sure you show up early because this fight should be a good one.

  • Jesse Bongfeldt vs. Chris Weidman

  • Nick Ring vs. James Head

  • Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Igor Pokrajac

  • Darren Elkins vs. Michihiro Omigawa

  • Joey Beltran vs. Aaron Rosa

  • Dustin Poirier vs. Jason Young

UFC 131 will air live on Spike TV at 8 PM eastern; the main event will air live on PPV just after 9 PM eastern time. Brock Lesnar will not fight, but Shane Carwin should fill in nicely for the sick UFC fighter. Remember, UFC 131 is a heavyweight elimination matchup between two of the best UFC heavyweight fighters. The main event will be exciting and full of action; you should never miss the heavyweights in the UFC because they know how to bring it. The only question that remains for UFC 131 is who will be lying on the mat at the end and who will lift his hands up in victory.
