Restoration in The Heart

We can treasure things up and ponder them in our heart, just like how Mary had done, but eventually we need to let out some virtues, for others to benefit from. When the law of God is in our heart we will desire to do good things.

Thy words have I hidden in my heart, that I may not sin against thee. Psalms 119:11 the purposes of concealing the words in our hearts, is to gives us a wealth of knowledge and spiritual wisdom. When the word is treasured up within us it will restore the joy of serving the Lord; there is no joy without discipline.

A Christian must treasure up those portions of God’s word in his mind and heart which speak against uncleanness of every kind; and that recommend purity, chastity, and holiness. The word of Christ should dwell richly in him. If God’s word be only in his Bible, and not also in his heart, he may soon and easily be surprised into his besetting sin.

Restore what the locust has eaten; what the cankerworm has eaten, what the caterpillar has eaten.

We will be like them that dream when the Lord brought back the captivity of Jacobs’s tents.

Take back what the enemy has stolen, find your peace, find your right mind, and find your place in the body, make time to serve the Lord, repair the holes, in the kitchen, repair your sanctification, your dedication, your consecration , find your gifting again, so that God can used you.

“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found call upon him while he is near.” though your sins be as scarlet they shall be white as snow, seek the Lord for your calling, and turn to him in the good times, because some bad times will come. Isaiah 55:6

Repair the house, restore interpersonal skills, learn to get on with people, no man is an island, and every man is part of the continent. Don’t say for whom the bell toll it tolls for you.

Restore good fellowship with each other; restore good housekeeping, by breaking off your sins and showing mercy to the poor, restore me to my right mind.

Read the word to be wise,  it will be light in darkness,  it is the soldiers sword, the pilot compass,  and the Christian charter, it tells of the mind of God, the state of happiness, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners and the happiness of believers. its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its stories are true, its decisions are immutable, believe  it to be safe, practice it to be holy, it contains food to support you, comfort to cheer you, it is the travelers map, the pilgrim staff, here paradise is restored, heaven is open and the gates of hell disclosed, it should fill the memory, it should rule the heart and guide the feet, read it prayerfully, it requires the highest responsibility, it is given in life, it shall be open in the judgment.

Some strongholds needs to be pull down,

The mount of corruption, the abomination of desolation, casting down imagination, and every high thing that exalt itself against the knowledge of the Lord,

The Sin of Israel was so entrenched that, that judgment was unavoidable, Lamentation1.5

Edward V1 was just as young as Josiah,

And Josiah set about to repair and restore order, religious reform, because the people had gone backwards, they had departed from the precepts of the Lord and was worshiping false Gods.

He began with repair to the temple, but he sought the lord much sooner than what we read in scriptures, the work was met with much opposition, like Sanballet and tobiah who wanted to stop.

Nehemiah 4:1-6 now it came about that when Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he became furious and very angry and mocked the Jews. And he spoke in the presence of his brothers and the wealthy men of Samaria and said, “What are these feeble Jews doing? Are they going to restore it for themselves? Can they offer sacrifices? Can they finish in a day? Can they revive the stones from the dusty rubble even the burned ones?

There was a financial reconciliation, and an account was taken of all the money that was collected, (repair your financial obligation) remember your vows, and promises to the Lord. Repair the vows that you have made in your heart to God.

In the previous verses, they gathered the funds to pay the workmen, who worked with honest integrity, the carpenters were paid the builders, the stone cutters, the labors, the workman is worthy of his hire. So don’t muzzle the ox that treads out the corn.

While repairing the temple, the book of the law was found, it was the book of Moses, which contains the Law of the lord, the Pentateuch, the leverage by which righteousness was measured.

It may have been found hidden under the floor boards, in an old cupboard, with spiders and cobwebs all over it.  The book of the law was needed to restore order, justice and equality, and also to instill confidence in the people.
