Once in awhile my hair gets a little dry and I need to make a homemade moisturizing hair mask that helps repair and moisturize my hair. One of my favorite homemade hair masks to make is my moisturizing banana and honey hair mask. It is very nourishing and hydrating and makes my hair feel soft and look healthy and shiny again.
The ingredients you will need to make my moisturizing banana and honey hair mask are one large banana, 1.2 a cup of honey, ½ a cup of olive oil, 1 egg, and ½ a cup of vitamin E cream. You should be able to find all these ingredients in your local grocery store and drugstore.
The materials you will need to make my moisturizing banana and honey hair mask are one blender, one mixing bowl, measuring cups, and a plastic container. You should have these items in your kitchen, but if not you can find them at any kitchen store.
The way you make my moisturizing banana and honey hair mask is by placing the 1 large banana, 1.2 a cup of honey, ½ a cup of olive oil, 1 egg, and ½ a cup of vitamin E cream into the blender. Next, you simply turn the blender on and blend the ingredients together until it becomes a yellowish creamy hair mask with a lovely light sweet honey and banana scent. You banana and honey hair mask will be slightly oily and runny but that is okay. It you want to thicken it up a bit adds more vitamin E cream and some cornstarch.
Now the way I like to use my moisturizing banana and honey hair mask is by getting into the shower and rinsing my hair down with warm water. Than I like to simply pour the banana and honey hair mask over the top of my head and all over my hair and lather it right in. Then I leave the hair mask in my hair while I wash up and shave. Next, I rinse the hair mask out of my hair and shampoo and condition my hair, as I would usually do. You should notice after you use your hair mask, have washed, and dried your hair that it will be very soft, shiny, hydrated, and healthy again. You can use this homemade moisturizing banana and honey hair mask as often as your need to until your hair becomes hydrated, soft, and healthy again.
I hope those of you who make and use my homemade moisturizing banana and honey hair mask end up liking the moisture, shine, and softness it adds to your hair. I wish you all the best of luck with moisturizing and repairing your dry hair.
