holiday sausage dressing

This recipe will show step by step how to make a sausage dressing. Great for the holidays or for any occasion and very simple to make.  Prep and cook time is done in about an hour.

Things you will need to make this recipe. All ingredients are store bought, but if you would like to make your own that would be fine.

* 1 lb sausage

* 2 1/2 cups (8 oz bag) herb seasoned stuffing crumbs. ( if you know how you can make your own.)

* 2 1/2  cups ( 8oz bag) cornbread stuffing crumbs. (you can make your own)

* 2 cans (14 1/2 oz size) broth

* 1 large chopped onion

* 2 stalks celery choped

* 1/2 cup melted butter

* 1 tsp salt

* 1/4 tsp black pepper

* 1 tbsp poultry season ( can add a little more depenending on  your preference)

Brown sausage and drain. Cook onion and celery in butter until they are tender. Mix stuffing, poultry season (to taste), salt, and pepper. Stir in broth, celery, onion, butter and sausage. Mix well.

Bake in uncovered dish for 30-35 minutes at 350 degree’s.

Cut in squares and serve.

This recipes will be a hit at any party or gathering. Now if there is someone who dosent like sausage you can still make this recipe and just omit the sausage. I have done that and it still comes out great…

Hint: for extra moistness you can add a can of cream of mushroom or any creamed soup of your choice.
