Looking back on how the children of Israel enjoy Gods wonderful provident, during the wilderness wandering, just simply stagers the imagination. On many occasion they became anxious over different problems, sometimes they became concern over food, and water, they also became fearful about the news of alleged giants dwelling where the outer boundaries were. There is a remedy for self pity; there is a scriptural encouragement for the disadvantage.

A Christian’s responsibility is to repay according to the terms of original agreements when borrowing. “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it” (Proverbs 3:27).   Debtors beware, if a debtor was delinquent in paying what he owed, his assets would be seize

Doubtful murmur and fear surround social disadvantages, they became fearful, walking around Jericho walls in silence, does not sound like an army strategies, but smack of desperation or at best, just nonsense, yet it was in this line of thinking that Almighty God was working.

But the bible reaches out to the most dispossessed, those hurt and wounded with the bitterness of humanity, seeking a measurable solace to resuscitate the joys of life.

Come unto me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I would give you, take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Go maintain the health and calm their nerves, providing water and mania from heaven he gave them angel food, and made no apology how much he cared for them, and he desires that we become fully dependent upon him when we are face with anxiety, the bible provides and embracing arms to run into, by casting all your cares upon Jesus, because he cares for us.

Bible remedies for finance is specific and routine, seek first the kingdom of heaven and all things shall be added unto you , Matthew 6:33 for both temporal and spiritual concern, the bible has the remedy for tragic circumstances, and the sense of anxiety diminishes the more our appetite grows for the virtues that are woven within the scriptural comprehension.

Jesus said that He had been sent to

“Preach the gospel to the poor, heal the broken hearted, preach

Deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind,

To set at liberty those who are oppressed”

Sickness, Financial problems, Emotional stress and Loneliness etc are all forms of oppression that will hold us captive and stop us being the person we want to be.

He who loves money shall never have enough. The foolishness of thinking that wealth brings happiness! The more you have, the more you spend, right up to the limits of your income, so what is the advantage of wealth – except perhaps to watch it as it runs through our fingers. Ecclesiastes 5:10-20.

What reminder are we given about borrowing money from someone?

Proverbs 22:7 “and the borrower is servant to the lender.”

Isaiah 33:15,

“I will tell you who can live here: All who are honest and fair, who reject making profit by fraud, which hold back their hands from taking bribes, which refuse to listen to those who plot murder, who shut their eyes to all enticement to do wrong.”

Bankruptcy is not a scriptural resolution; it is a legal remedy. It’s understandable that under the pressure of excessive debts a Christian might see bankruptcy as a quick fix; but relief from financial pressure does not make bankruptcy scriptural.

Bankruptcy comes from two Latin words meaning “bench” and “break.” Which in times past under the constitution of roman laws, if a debtor was not paying what they owe, all his assets were gathered together and divided among the creditors. Then, the creditors ceremoniously broke the debtor’s workbench as punishment to him and a warning to other debtors.
