There is nothing worse than staring at an empty piece of paper or a blank computer screen. Writer’s block is a nightmare to all writers and can be considered a writer’s worst enemy especially if this is something you do for a living or to make extra income. Here are a few suggestions that will help you overcome writer’s block.

Changing your location is a good way to get rid of writer’s block. If you are inside try going outside or to a different site. This can get the creative juices flowing again.

You can write in increments, by doing this you are not stuck in one place for hours on end. Taking a break in between is a great way not to become burn out.

Going for a walk will allow you to conqueror the writer’s block monster. You can enjoy the scenery as you put your mind at ease and get a little exercise in as well.

Hot tea or a warm beverage is another way to combat writer’s block. Try herbal tea it can be very soothing and relaxing.

Writing anything just happen to be another way to get rid of writer’s block. Write anything down it does not matter if it does not make sense you can always go back and change it into anything you want.

Find a quiet place and mediate at least three times a week. This will allow you to think clearer. If you are writing a story or novel allow different scenes to play out in your mind. Do this for about thirty seconds then go back and work on your project.

These are just a few tips that can help you overcome writer’s block. Try them all and see which one works best for you.
