It was a perfect day to go for a picnic on the beach or hang out in a park with my family. It was bright, sunny, and warm and all that jazz. However, my plate was full with work. I was on my desk, working from home, while my wife and children had gone out for shopping. I had to collate some data on excel sheets for my company’s Annual Report. I had been busy compiling details of the report since morning and it was only around noon, that I realized I hadn’t had breakfast yet!
I saved all my work, shut the computer down and headed towards the kitchen to grab something to eat. On my way down, my wife and kids got back from their little shopping spree. They got some fries and cheesecake for me and I quickly gobbled them up. Soon, I was headed back to work on my report.
When I switched on my laptop, there was a pop-up telling me that there were some updates available for the system. When I clicked on it, a window opened, which contained a detailed list of the updates. I clicked on ‘Install’ for allowing it to automatically update. I stared on my screen waiting for the updates to get installed. However, halfway through, the updates stopped all of a sudden! I observed it for a while hoping it would re-start by itself. But nothing changed. It was not going any further, so I closed it and tried installing the updates again. It still won’t work!
I couldn’t figure out anything so I decided to seek help from the Internet. I looked for possible solutions from the Internet and got numerous related results. I started to randomly go through them but one tech support company caught my attention, iYogi Tech Support. I did a quick run on their website and found relevant services I was looking for. They had a chargeable fee but I was quite convinced because it was pretty reasonable. I clicked on the ‘chat now’ option and filled in my contact details when asked for. Soon, I was chatting with a technician. The technician greeted me and after verifying the contact information I just entered, he inquired about the problem I was facing with my computer. I narrated the whole incident to her and how my PC stopped responding after I initiated the updates. She posed some questions to get a better understanding of the problem including information related to the make and model number of my computer. I gave in the details almost immediately. She then told me that she would need to access the screen of my computer in order to diagnose the exact problem and resolve it. I agreed.
In minutes, she had control of my computer and was busy fixing the problem. It took her around 15 minutes to get it sorted and soon she was configuring the updates on my computer. When I checked to see the results myself, I was quite impressed. My computer was not only working again but it started running as good as new. I thanked the technician for helping me, closed the chat window and went back to my report.
