Is there anything that can make us happy? The answer is definitely countless, as countless as our reasons and conditions. But, in general, we may be hard to resist when it is said that the factors that could make someone happy can be grouped into three:

First, personal settings or how we establish ourselves in the sense that we have adopted a way of thinking, way of life we choose, the values that we make reference, the response we take, and so forth. The example of personal settings we’ve discussed here is acceptance who are not resigned to giving up. Accept or reject is the attitude that we choose. No person or circumstances which tell us of have to accept or reject. Receiving can make us happier faster than reject.

Secondly, external factors that support for our need to be happy. The form can be material or non-material. For example, the existence of a harmonious relationship, money / materials that meet the needs, work environment is OK, and so forth.

Third, the X factor which may be a result or outcome of what we try and respond that we receive from beyond our power to make us safe from things that make us unhappy.

For religious people, the strength of the outside were ordered to believe it as the hand “of God”, not an accidental occurrence. For example, it turns out we are trying to recover from the illness after treatment or survived the accident, and so on. Like we see, it seems the relationship between recovery and treatment was causative, but the practice is not so. A lot of people who have gone anywhere, but has not yet healed. Therefore, it is believed to be healing need God’s help and our own efforts. If we still find another explanation that could complement the exposure here, would be more stable so that our perspective about happiness can be more simple.

Which is the most influence?
Well, the three things above, which is the most influence? If you look at the practice of life, the most widely and most frequently played of course is a personal setting. Refer to research, the figure is from 60% to 80%, based on the state of normal life. We probably could have said that happiness factor can not be figure out. But, for about how vital personal settings are for happiness, this is indeed have plenty of evidence and explanation.

Say that we’ve got an external factor that supports our happiness, for example: job, environment or material. Although all is real to us, but if we are less supportive of personal settings, can we feel the happiness? The answer may be difficult. Difficulties to be happy it would probably be long. Therefore there is a saying which states that happiness is not dependent on what we have, but on our gratitude to God on what we already have.

Now, we change the simulation. Say that we are in conditions that are unfavorable for happiness. For example, being unemployed, no money, relationships are pointed, or something more pathetic. If using our humanity, we are almost certainly not happy with the situation like that, despite attempts to create personalized settings as wise, as positive, and as powerful as possible.

However, if we can guarantee the consistency of that personal settings, the taste of unhappy that we experience is only temporary. If that consistency is able to materialize in the form of the agenda of real change, a sense of unhappiness will change into happiness. It’s already the law of nature.

In addition, having personal setting that supports happiness, whether it’s fake or else, when we face a situation that does not support happiness, will make us not fused into the unhappiness that are uncontrollable.
