Hypertension  is the  increase in  blood  pressure  above  normal, that is when the systolic pressure above 140 mmHg, and diastolic pressure above 90 mmHg or more.
Based on the causes, hypertension is divided into two namely:
1. Primary Hypertension
Primary hypertension is an increase in blood pressure above normal that the cause is unknown. Primary hypertension is usually associated with hereditary and environmental factors.
2. Secondary hypertension
Secondary hypertension is elevated blood pressure above normal, the cause can be known with certainty, for example, blood vessel disorders, kidney disease, thyroid gland disorders, adrenal gland disease and others. The biggest class is hipertensia essential hypertension. therefore, investigation and treatment of more directed to people with essential hypertension.
