Dying is just like taxes in the respect that it is going to happen to you and me. Over history, we realize it doesn’t matter who you are, you are going to face death. Famous people have no secret weapon against death. They are just like you and I. They will die. We will die. Death is a part of life. However, many of us look forward to eternal life in Heaven. After we all pass from this world, I hope to meet each one of you in a better place called Heaven.

1621 Miles Standish appointed 1st commander of Plymouth colony

1691- Thomas Neale granted British patent for American postal service

1801- House breaks electoral college tie, chooses Thomas Jefferson President over Aaron Burr, Aaron Burr was named the Vice President under President Thomas Jefferson

1867- 1st ship passes through Suez Canal-Today Iran Warships are going through the Suez Canal for maneuvers in Syria or as a warning of power to Israel

1706-1780-Andreas Felix von Oefele was a German historian and librarian who wrote a ten volume series called Life Stories of the Most Learned Men of Bavaria

1819-1890-Christopher Sholes was an American inventor who invented the practical typewriter and QWERTY keyboard which is still used today

1907 –Henry Steel Olcott was an Army officer, journalist, lawyer and the US co-founder and President of the Theosophist Society

1829-1909–Geronimo was a famous Apache chief who fought against Mexico and the US because of their expansion into Apache Tribal lands for several decades during the Apache Wars

1912 –Lawrence Oates was a British explorer of Antarctica, he is known for walking to his death in a blizzard because he was sick and didn’t want his three companions to catch his illness and likely die

1907-1962 –Joseph Kearns was an actor who played George Wilson on Dennis the Menace from 1959-1962 the time of his death. George Wilson was Mr. Wilson the next door neighbor who Dennis the Menace drove crazy

1888-1970 –Schmuel J Agnon was a Jewish novelist who died in Jerusalem, Israel, he is known as one of the central figures in Modern Hebrew fiction, his works are written in both Hebrew and English, he is known as S. Y. Agnon in English and shared the Nobel Prize in 1966 for literature

1908-1989-Lefty Gomez was a Hall of Fame New York Yankee Pitching great. Lefty Gomez played for the New York Yankees from 1930-1942 and was considered one of the great pitchers of his time. Lefty Gomez won the World Series five times while playing for the New York Yankees. Lefty Gomez was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972 by the Veteran’s Committee

?-1997-Zein Isa was the Palestinian militant imprisoned in the United States for the honor killing of his daughter. Honor killing is a father killing his daughter for dishonoring her family in the eyes of her father. Zein Isa murdered his daughter by stabbing her to death and he thought it was okay because it was an honor killing. The murder was taped by the FBI who was investigating Zein Isa who was planning to bomb the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC

1965-2007 –Mike Awesome was an American professional wrestler, Mike Awesome fought in the ECW, the WCW and the WWE, he was born in Tampa, FL, Mike Awesome was 6’6” tall and weighed 290 pounds, Mike Awesome was found dead in 2007, he hanged himself.
