Benefit of Avocado

 In most of the developing countries, it is used as a substitute to cope for the shortage of nutritious food production. Avocado is one of the most nutritious of all fruits, which combines protein of meat, fat of butter, vitamins and minerals of green vegetables, the flavor of nut. It is a fruit without any rival among the fruits and none can fill its place.

Avocado have originated in Mexico and Central America, but nowadays they are planted and harvested in countries such as Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, USA, Thailand, Argentina, New Zealand, India, China, Peru, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Ethiopia, Spain, Hawaii, Malaysia, Australia, South Africa, Palestine and Brazil. You can even plant this in your garden as long as the temperature does not fall below 5 degree Celcius. One tree can bear about 200 pieces of fruit.
Avocado oil has many culinary and health benefits and is useful in human weight control, high nutritional density, source of major antioxidants, fiber source, fruit protein source, as a baby food and many other dietary benefits. The oil of avocado is light, and so it mixes well with other foods. It enhances and brings out the flavor of other foods.
Avocado can be served as a soup, salad, dip, sandwich spread, garnish, dessert or beverages.

The usage of avocado is reduced because of negative misconception. Many people appreciate the flavor of this delicious fruit but are afraid because of incomplete or erroneous nutritional information. They therefore avoid or eat less of this fruit. It is very unfortunate that avocado which is high in monosaturated fat content and nutty flavor are in many people’s mind twisted into disadvantages.

This fruit is one  of the most recommended fruit for body building and as a medicine for cholesterol related heart disease. It is considered to be the world’s healthiest fruit because of its nutrient contents such as vitamin K, dietary fiber, potassium, folic acid, vitamin B6, Vitamin C, copper and calories in it.
Avocado extract is good for the treatment and prevention of ‘breast cancer’ and ‘prostate cancer’. The toxin present in avocado can kill cancer cell.
Avocado contains monounsaturated fat called ‘oleic acid’ that helps to lower cholesterol.
It is a good source of potassium that helps regulate blood pressure, heart disease or stroke.
Avocados contain carotenoid lutein, that protects against macular degeneration and cataracts, two age related eye disease.
It is also used as a natural cosmetic as it helps in rapid skin penetration and acts as a superior natural sunscreen. It is also used as a skin moisturizer, cleansing cream, makeup base, lipstick, bath oil and hair conditioner.
