1.) Use the steps.

Many tall buildings have elevators these days.  Elevators get you there a lot faster, but by taking the steps instead, you will burn a lot of calories.

2.) Park in the furthest spot.

It won’t seem like a big deal, but by parking further away from the store and going for that extra walk, you will have a good way to stay slimmer.  Don’t pray for the closest parking spot, instead just take the first spot available.  Remember that it is a round trip to the store and you will walk there and back.  If you are carrying groceries or goods, then the increased weight load will further contribute to your thinness.

3.) Drink coffee instead of soft drinks.

Generally, people drink soft drinks for the sugar boost and the caffeine.  But mostly, it is the caffeine.  Caffeine is addictive and somewhat difficult to give up.  Most soft drinks these days are made with a lot of sugar or high fructose corn syrup, which is even worse for your weight than sugar.  If you can switch to pure black coffee your weight will go down.  Caffeine increases your metabolism, but all of those sugars will increase your weight.  By adopting a diet of black coffee you will still get more than enough caffeine without sacrificing your body figure.

4.) Don’t be sedentary.

There are so many activities that can be done sitting down, but many can be done while walking.  If you like to talk on the phone a lot, then move around the house while you talk instead of sitting down.  This will help you to stay slim.

5.) Eat slower.

Eating slower will help you to decrease your overall consumption of food.  By eating slower, your body will have a better chance at digesting the food that you are intaking and it will help you to decrease appetite.

6.) Go for daily walks.

This is obvious, but how many times do you drive to the corner store instead of walking?  If you go walking daily, you will have a much better chance of staying slim.  This is important.

7.) Do housework.

There is always more housework to be done.  Instead of watching television or getting on the internet, get up and start doing some housework.  Wash dishes by hand instead of using the dishwasher.  Cook instead of going out to eat.  Vacuum the house regularly.  These steps will help you to stay slim.
