The Day my Father Stopped Smoking

Among the many memories I have of my father is watching him with a cigarette in hand, I was about 7 or 8 years old and already smoked 2 packs of unfiltered cigarettes a day, commonly called the rompepechos, lasted almost thirty years of smoking
once it became a routine medical examinations, blood, cholesterol, triglycerides and as the doctor had told her that smoking had all that time commanded the lung X-rays, my father did and the results led him to the doctor , look at this after a while he said with a worried face which came a suspicious spot on one lung but which nevertheless did another x-ray to make a definite diagnosis.
that day my father who was exceedingly nervous not smoked a single cigarette throughout the day or the next day worried about what the doctor had said, the third day I took the new X-ray the doctor, during these days just sucked a candy to calm anxiety in the doctor’s office after examining X-rays gave him the good news that the stain was a false alarm but due to many years of smoking their lungs showed a serious deterioration in their sockets, whichshort term could bring choking and suffocation, after is the day my father stopped smoking and all thanks to the shock of the radiograph.
