Happy New Year to all online readers. I have been so busy the past few months with the holiday season shopping rush and all the parties and celebrations that I have neglected my writing. However, to start off the season right, I decided to write my first article for the year. What better article to start off with than a new year’s resolution list. My list, however, is more of a “things to do” list for 2011. Here goes….
THINGS TO DO IN 2011
1- GET HEALTHY – LOSE WEIGHT!!!
I have put on so much weight in the past months and I am sad to say that this is the heaviest I have been. I notice that I get tired faster doing simple things and I get sick quickly once I don’t get enough sleep. So I place this as my biggest and most important resolution for this year. This includes eating right and exercising, of course.
2- MAKE A LARGE SIZE PAINTING
I recently moved to a new apartment and would love to decorate it with my own crafts. I have made some paintings before but they remain unfinished. This year, I plan to create a painting that is impressive..and to do this I want it to be large scale.
3- TAKE A PICTURE A WEEK
My hubby and I are photo enthusiasts. I decided to create a facebook page for a photo challenge to take a picture a week according to a weekly theme. This will help me to constantly look at the world around me and capture its beauty in a photograph. By the end of the year, I will have at least 52 photos that I plan to turn into a coffee table look book.
4- GROW MY HAIR REALLY LONG
I am always amazed at women that grow and maintain their hair. I often keep my hair tied back. This year, I vow to give importance to my mane…and grow it long and beautiful!
5- WRITE & BLOG MORE
I’d love to keep writing more especially online as well as in my own blog (myearthlyjewels.blogspot.com).
6- HAVE A NEAT & ORGANIZED CRAFT ROOM
I have an extra room in our apartment and would love to finally make this into my dream craft room where all my beads, yarns, paints and other craft supplies are neatly arranged and accessible to be able to be more crafty.
7- MAKE A QUILT
I have made quilts as gifts before but, I’ve never made one for myself. This year, I want to make a full sized rag quilt!
Watch out for more resolutions…..to inspire you!
