How to Change Your Eating Habits

As you may be aware, not fueling up with the proper nutrients can affect how

well your body performs,
and your overall fitness.
Although healthy eating is important, there are myths or rumors that could

hinder your performance,
if you listen to them.
Here are some common myths on healthy eating.

1)WORKING OUT ON AN EMPTY STOMACH:
If you are hungry or your stomach is grumbling, it is trying to tell you

something.
Ignoring this or not paying attention to it, you are forcing your body to run

without any fuel.
Before exercising or doing any physical activity, eat a light snack,
such as an apple or crackers.

2)DEPENDING ON ENERGY BARS AND DRINKS:
Energy bars and drinks are fine every now and then but,
they do not deliver the antioxidants you need to prevent cancer.
Fruits and vegetables are the best choice, as they are loaded with vitamins,

minerals,
fluid and fiber.

3)SKIPPING BREAKFAST:
Skipping breakfast is never a good idea, as it is very important in starting

your day!
Your body needs fuel, and without it, you will experience/feel hungry

throughout the course of the day.

4)LOW CARB DIETS:
Your body needs carbohydrates for muscle and the storing of energy.

5)EATING WHAT YOU WANT:
Healthy eating and exercising does not grant you access to eat anything you

want!
We all need the same nutrients, whether individuals exercise or not,
and we all need our fruits and vegetables.

6)LACK OF CALORIES:
Although losing weight involves reducing your intake of calories, losing

weight to fast is not smart or safe.
Make a goal of 1-2 pounds per week.
Always make sure your calorie intake is enough to keep your body functioning

smoothly and effectively.
If you drop weight too fast, try consuming a little more food.

7)EXCLUDE SODA AND ALCOHOL:
Skip soda and alcohol. Water, milk and juice is the best to drink for active

people.
Drink healthy liquids/fluids often, and please do not wait until you thirsty

before you drink.
If you wait until you are thirsty, then that means you are already running a

bit too low.
By changing your eating habits it is always a great step towards improving

how your body performs.
The better and healthier you eat, the better you should feel.
It does not matter how old you are, proper eating is something everyone

should strive for.
Give it a chance, and in no time at all, you will begin to see just how much

it can change your life for the better!
