Ellen DeGeneres is cheering for the Green Bay Packers. Tony Okungbowa is cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, knowing the team loyalties of two celebrities doesn’t help determine who will win Super Bowl XLV.
There are many ways that are used to predict the winner of the Super Bowl.
Ellen DeGeneres used the two cows that she and wife Portia DeRossi recently adopted. She put a blank that said Steelers on the cow named Madonna. She put a blanket that said Packers on the cow named Holy. A water bowl was placed in the yard at the Gentle Barn where they live.
Many animals passed by the water bowl. The first to drink from the water bowl was a sheep. The first cow to drink from the water bowl, though, was Madonna! This predicted that the Pittsburgh Steelers were going to win Super Bowl XLV.
Jay Leno had a different way of predicting who would win Super Bowl XLV. He had a Jack Russell (or Parsons Russell) Terrier brought to the set of the tonight show. A small field of balloons with an equal number of balloons decorated for the Steelers and the Packers were arranged in a rectangle. The Jack Russell was set on the ground so it could pop all the balloon. The last balloon popped would determine the winner of the Super Bowl. The Jack Russell Terrier popped a Green Bay Packers balloon last, so it was predicted that the Green Bay Packers would win the Super Bowl.
It seems that most NFL commentators think that the Green Bay Packers will win the Super Bowl. However, that is six to eight commentators with the prediction. All the commentators are saying that it will be a close game. This means that there is a chance that the Pittsburgh Steelers will win the Super Bowl.
When asking who will win the Super Bowl, perhaps everything should be taken into consideration. If the game is fast, the Green Bay Packers will win the Super Bowl just like the dog quickly predicted they would. If the game is slow and close, the Pittsburgh Steelers will win the Super Bowl like Ellen’s cow slowly predicted.
The best way to find out who will win the Super Bowl is to watch it.
If you don’t care for football, ask somebody once the game has finished. You can do like Ellen DeGeneres’ fake co-anchor, Chip van Damm and call it “pre-Glee.”
