Avatar The Movie 3D Review

Avatar, the name magic’s up an image of the science fiction film on everyone’s lips, at the moment, we will take a better look at that in a moment, but I would like to look a little deeper into the meaning of the word, apart from what most bloggers would know as a customized image to represent themselves (an embodiment in a new form) avatar is an incarnation, so when the blogger or social networker doesn’t want the true image of himself/herself to be shown he would choose an avatar.

Avatar in Hinduism which is where the word originates refers to a “deliberate descent of a deity from heaven to earth”, and is mostly translated into English as “incarnation”, but to be more accurate it’s an “appearance” or “manifestation “more than often associated with Vishnu (the second god in the Hindu triumvirate) there were three of them responsible for the creation, upkeep and destruction of the world. The other two gods are Braham and Shiva, much like the Greek Fates, who decided when and where anyone should be born and what you will do with your life, bossy lot weren’t they?

However back to Avatar the film it has surpassed Titanic to become the highest grossing movie of all time, it’s all about a paraplegic marine who is dispatched to the moon Pandora an Earth-like moon orbiting a distant star on a mission, he becomes torn between following his orders and protecting the world he feels is his home.

Directed and indeed written by the Canadian James Cameron who is known for amongst others, Battle beyond the stars, Aliens and the Terminator which he also wrote, this 3D epic is set to become the big unbeatable hit, well at least until the next unbeatable one.

Titanic lasted 13 years at the top, so it will be interesting to see how long it will take to find a challenger to it a Chinese mountain has reportedly been renamed in honor of the sci-fi film after claims it had inspired scenery in the fantasy blockbuster, (I don’t know, everybody wants a bit of the action don’t they?).

3D is set to be the big thing the movies and TV over the next 10 years, personal I don’t think it will last that long.I suppose if I had to sum up Avatar in a short sentence I would say, Avatar is a 3D giant blockbuster that you must see
