The Law of Attraction And How to Use it

In its essence, the law of attraction involves focusing on what you want as opposed to what you don’t want.  The law states that like attracts like.  This is pertaining to thoughts especially.  One negative thought can spiral into a deluge of negative thinking that hampers one’s mood and life.  While one positive thought anchored with a positive feeling can snowball into an avalanche of positive thinking that uplifts one’s mood and attracts more “good” into one’s life to induce anew, or sustain, the positive feelings initially created through positive thought.  It’s what I like to call an “auspicious circle”, as opposed to a “vicious circle”

It is impractical to monitor every thought you have, but you can ask yourself how you are feeling throughout the day.  If you feel good, keep feeling that way.  If you feel bad emotionally, then seek thoughts that provide some relief from that negative feeling, and keep thinking thoughts that provide more and more relief from that negative emotion until you are feeling good again, or even euphoric.  I find that the easiest way to do this is through the practice of gratitude.  If someone does something that makes you feel negative or taken advantage of, for example, shift your focus to something that you could appreciate, such as the trees, your wonderful beating heart, your breath, the sun, your shoes – anything to relieve the negative emotion and begin to feel gratitude.

I’ve found that Dr Joe Vitale’s method for using the Law of Attraction is the most practical and well-explained.  And it can be done in 5 easy steps.  So here are Dr. Vitale’s 5 steps to attracting everything you want:

Step One:  Know what you don’t want.

Step Two:  Intend what you do want.

Step Three:  Get clear of negative, unconscious thoughts

Step Four:  Imagine what it feels like (with emotion) to already have what you want.

Step Five:  Take inspired action, while feeling detachment from the desired outcome.

The most important part of the whole process is to get clear of unconscious intentions that may be hindering you.  There are methods for doing this, including The Sedona Method, and Dr. Joe’s “Zero Limits”, which is an introduction to the Hawaiian healing system called Self I-Dentity Ho’oponopono.

Ultimately the Law of Attraction is about ensuring that the emotional and therefore energetic vibration of one’s thoughts and beliefs (especially those that lie just under the surface of consciousness) are entrained to the vibration of that which we desire to have, be, or do.  Ensure that all aspects of your being are on the same page when it comes to your goals and wishes, and not in disharmony with opposing beliefs, thoughts, and internal programming.

With such clarity of vision and synergy of purpose in all aspects of your being, you will be unstoppable.
