Pork With Vegetables in Pumpkin

Pork with vegetables in pumpkin is an interesting recipe which could be prepared for everyday use or for special parties.

This interesting dish serves 4-5. The time for its preparation is about an hour and 50 minutes.


1 middle sized pumpkin

1 kg pork meat

500 gr mushrooms

2 grated tomatoes

1 onion

Black peper powder

Salt to taste

1 table spoon oil

50 gr butter

50 gr red wine

Method of preparation:

Thw first thing you have to do is to prepare the meat in the following way: wash it and cut it into small pieces, then wash it once again and leave it for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile peel the onion and wash it. Chop the onion finely. It is the third time you have to wash the meat. Now you should place the meat and the onion into a frying pan which is previously oiled. After frying for about 5 minutes you can add a little bit water and continue cooking the meat. Then add some salt to taste. After 10 minutes add the wine and the black pepper powder. While cooking the meat you can wash the mushrooms and after that you have to chop them finely. Now it is high time to prepare your round pumpkin by washing it, cutting it on the top and cleaning it inside. Place the pumpkin into a baking pan full with water and start filling the pumpkin with the mixture of meat, onion, mushrooms and the grated tomatoes. Place the butter on the top of the mixture and cover the pumpkin with the pumpkin top. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-50 minutes. You can serve the dish with rice boiled with butter.Enjoy this delicious dish!
