Shiny Hair

It’s not as hard as you may think to get fabulous shiny locks that the celebrities always seem to be showcasing, anyone can do it. Follow my method and you too can have hair that will envy others and make you stand out.

  • Wash hair with your favourite shampoo, rinse and repeat. Make sure you have rinsed it properly.

  • Apply some deep conditioning mask to your hair and leave it on for 30 minutes. Cheap ones work just as well (Alberta balsam cost £1.00) it’s fantastic.

  • Rinse off the conditioner making sure it’s all gone then blast your hair with cold water. This will helpthe cuticles of your hair to lie flat.

  • Wrap hair in a towel and leave it for 30minutes. (Never rub your hair dry, only pat it.)

  • Use a wide tooth comb to detangle your hair. (Never brush wet hair, the hair is fragile and could split or break)

  • Section hair starting at the back and blow-dry using a paddle brush or your fingers if you prefer. Point the nozzle downwards as this will help the cuticles to lie flat. (Make sure hair is 80% dry before you start the blow-drying).

  • Make sure each section is completely dry before you move onto the next. Then continue to work your way through the whole head. (Take your time and do not rush the drying, it’s an important part of your final result).

  • After blow-drying allow your head to rest and the hair to cool down for 20 minutes. In the meantime apply a very little amount of serum to your mid sections and ends of the hair.

  • After 20 minutes section hair again and run straightening ironsdown each length carefully. Try not to stop in case you get unwanted kinks and never go over a section more than twice.

  • Finally use a very little dab of styling wax on the palm of your hands, rub them together then pat your hands and then smooth down any flyaways.
