Now the aim of this dietis to stick to 1,250 calories a day, you canindulge in your favourite bacon butties, roast chicken, bowls of pasta as well as treats like rice pudding and even chocolateand still shed up to half a stone in 3 weeks.
This diet contains plenty of meat, wholegrains and cheese, which all boost serotonin (feel good chemicals) in our brains.
Here’s how to do it,
1. Choose one breakfast, lunch, dinner and treat every day. Vary your choices to make sure you get a variety of nutrients. It’s also important to eat regularly to prevent dips in blood sugar levels which can leave you feeling irritable and reaching for the junk food.
2. Allow yourself an extra 300ml skimmed milk a day; use this to make hot chocolates, lattes, cappucinos or mix with fruit to make smoothes.
3. Eat plenty of veggies- for a warmer alternative to salad, try stir-frying or roasting with spray oil or liquidise to make soups.
4. Have at least six to eight glasses of water. For a hot drink, mix boiling water with sugar-free blackcurrant or lemon squash.
