There is no position in fantasy baseball where you can project a 312 avg, 21 hrs, 93 rbi as your worst projected starter. Add in to that the fact that there are still half a dozen other productive firstbasemen that I didn’t list (Ike Davis, Gabby Sanchez, Freddie Freeman, Derrek Lee, Carlos Pena, etc) and you find that there is more than enough talent to go around. There are some good buy low guys at first as well. Prince Fielder, heading into free agency, and Kendry Morales, coming off an injury, are both potential top 20 players that you could get in the 3rd and 4th round respectively. In some leagues, you will see the top four all go in the first round. If this is the case, and you don’t get one, I would suggest snagging Morales after Fielder goes off the board. So, what are your plans for first base this year?
