Tips on Staying Focused – A Word of Advice Based on Experience

Being a home-based businessperson can be lucrative and exciting. Sometimes, there is so to do in terms of marketing our business that we don’t know where to begin. Sometimes, at first, we don’t see anything going on so we look outside our own business into other businesses. This causes us to ping-pong back and forth, working doubly hard to accomplish half as much.

While success requires flexibility, it also requires focus and consistency. Let’s face it, while the opportunity is limitless, if it were easy, everybody would be doing it and part of what will make you successful is the ability to “stick with it.”  Whether you are new to being self-employed or just need a little motivation, I hope my experience here can help you get over what I like to call the “kid in the candy store syndrome.”

When I first started looking into Network Marketing, I tried to learn everything I could about what was going on in dozens of different programs.  I ready everything I could find, talked to experts, marketers and company officials all across the US.  The more I learned, the more excited I became, this was indeed a multi-billion dollar industry and I knew I could be successful.

I found that there were opportunities related to all kinds of products and I started tracking dozens of them.  I have so much opportunity at my fingertips that I did not know where to begin. As a result, I had trouble beginning.

I know from speaking with many of my students and from conversations I have with the training staff on a regular basis, that many of you are having the same problem.  You are seeing opportunities all around and sometimes the ones you are not doing looks “better.”  As a result of all this looking and exploring and getting ready, you are missing out on the opportunities in your own backyard.

Opportunity is everywhere. Sometimes you just need to take the bull by the horns, jump in and stick with it till something happens.  The only absolute is that you MUST be promoting a product or service that you believe in for a solid reputable company. And, you absolutely must be using the products yourself.

That’s why after 20 years of researching and/or participating in dozens of Network Marketing Programs I zoomed in immediately on My Harvest America and its Loyalty Card Program. It is the only program I have ever come across that actually makes you money whether you work the business or not. Just being a customer nets you up to $170 a month!

On the business side, the income potential is almost limitless.  It is simple and takes a while to build but it is the easiest program to present and once people are in they would have to be brain-dead to ever leave.

Regardless of whether you choose to take a look at My Harvest America or not, there are plenty of great programs out there and you can succeed. I know that some of you get discouraged and feel as if things are not happening fast enough but hang in there.  Sometimes you do have to look elsewhere, but many times you can make it work wherever you want if you are tenacious. It sometimes takes time to gear up to the point where you have a steady pipeline of team members and leads.  But, once you do…look out, you will be unstoppable.

I would love to hear from you about your experiences in Network Marketing.  Feel free to post a comment or email me at
