Give your bathrooms and kitchen a fresh look by updating the fixtures. Look at yard sales or discount stores to find something that would work great, and be inexpensive. These two rooms are the ones that most home buyers pay the closest attention to, so put more of your money into them if you have to so they can look great.

Put a fresh coat of paint on the inside and outside of your home. Painting your home can increase the resale value of your home greatly, and you can do it yourself. Be sure that you use neutral colors everywhere. This will give the potential home buyers a blank slate to look at, and let there imagination go.

Give your home curb appeal. You can do this by trimming bushes, pulling up weed, plant fresh flowers, mowing, and trimming up the trees. The front of your home is what will give people there first impression, and it is very important. Most of the things you will do will be easy and very inexpensive. When you are doing this you should not forget about the back yard; it may not be the first thing they will see, but it is just as important for increasing the resale value of your home.
