Bodybuilding Supplement Advice

To begin, I am not a health professional, nor a representative from any major supplement store. I am simply someone that was skeptical of the myriad supplements currently on the market. With whey protein, soy protein, or egg protein; creatine monohydrate, ethyl esther, etc., we, as the consumer, are generally forced to make a “guess” at which supplement works or if it is even safe!

One important thing to remember is that you must not go in blind. You must have some knowledge under your belt, no matter how little that is. Remember, the employees at GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, or your preferred provider are paid by the companies that produce these products. These multi-million dollar companies are signing their checks; therefore, your supplement store is trying to make these companies happy. They are paid to endorse these products, so in order to honestly know which supplements are the best, one must be knowledgable on these certain matters…..that is where I come in!

In my opinion, the only thing worse than a supplement company is the bodybuilding magazines. These magazines are governed on the same principle as the vitamin shops that sell the products. Almost every bodybuilding magazine is owned by a supplement company; therefore, as earlier, they are going to endorse THEIR product which may not be worth YOUR money. Trust me, once they get your money, they don’t care about you.

There is a lesson to be learned here. The supplement business is corrupt. I am here to help guide you through the process.

My next blog will be about creatine and I will clear up some common misconceptions!!!
