Not everyone can tell their friends that their father is a tree trimmer. Not especially when the first thing that comes to mind is the hideous murderer Leather face in the famous slasher movie Texas chainsaw massacre. But Ahmad Khawaja is neither scary nor intimidating. He is just your friendly neighborhood tree trimmer.
Ahmad Khawaja was born to poor parents who passed away during his infancy. His mother died when she gave birth to him and his father died two years later in a car accident. His grandparents then took the reins in raising him. His grandmother worked in an impressive garden owned by one of the richest man in the country and she would always take little Ahmad with her, teaching him the different gardening methods.
But Ahmad Khawaja neither cared for nor wanted to work in a garden. All he wanted was to be with his friends. One day, he accidentally flooded the garden due to his daydreaming. It was the first time Ahmad saw her grandmother exploded with anger. And he was scared.
Eventually, Ahmad left his gardening career when most of the plants in his care either rotted or died. It was then decided that he does not possess a green thumb and should seriously consider a change in his career.
One day, when Ahmad was returning from a hard day of looking for a job, he decided to visit his grandmother at work. It was then that he saw an old chainsaw being thrown away. For Ahmad, this was opportunity and he quickly took the old chainsaw home and after borrowing some money, had it repaired and operating again.
In the beginning, Ahmad Khawaja was offering his services to his friends and neighbors for just 50 dollars. Since tree trimming is dangerous, his friends thought that it was a bargain and even tipped him twice the amount. And from there, his services were much sought after. What he can not do with his hands raising plants and gardens, he perfected through the use of chainsaw that saw the beginning of a lucrative tree trimming business.
Now, twenty years later, his tree trimming services is offered throughout the United States and has over 1,500 chainsaws in inventory. When asked how it came about, Ahmad Khawaja would just smile and recalled that fateful day he and his old chainsaw was booted out of the garden.
