Stargate Sg-1: Deadman Switch

I have really grown to love and adore Stargate SG-1: Deadman Switch.  For some reason, I wasn’t that crazy about the first couple of times I watched it, but now it’s really a favorite that I make a point to watch with regularity.

The show guest stars Sam Jones as an alien bounty hunter named Aris Boch.  Boch has questionable motives and his actions keep SG-1 guessing about what is really happening.

One of the high points of this show is watching Jack and Daniel in action.  They are just terrific.  Their banter and lighthearted tone makes even the serious bits work superbly.

Sam Jones is great in the part.  It’s probably the best role I’ve ever seen him do, and he’s done a lot of work.  He really managed to take the character beyond being just a mere villain and gives him dimension with several layers to alien.

A lot of fans always hoped Aris Boch would return, but it never happened.

The episode was a great vehicle for Richard Dean Anderson and Michael Shanks.  It had humor that fit in perfectly with the hour’s drama.  The opening of Boch’s ship is a scene not to be missed for Jack and Daniel admirers.
