Are you one of those people who worry about covering the acne scars? It can be a little embarrassing when people stare at you because you have obvious peel acne scars on your face. There are a lot of over the counter products that you can choose from. In fact some products promise immediate results. Acne may range from being mild to severe which causes acne scarring of the face.
Types of Acne
whiteheads – these are the ones contained beneath the surface of the face. Whiteheads are completely blocked pores and the sebum, bacteria and dead cells are trapped underneath.
blackheads – these are the ones that come out from a partially blocked pores. The sebum, dead cells and bacteria comes out of the face and are manifested by black pigments. This is because when the sebum, dead cells or bacteria are exposed to the air it will turn black.
Papules – these are the red bumps that appear on the face; these bumps are quite tender and are prone to irritation. It is advised that you should not touch the bumps or squeeze it for it may cause acne scarring.
Pustules – these are commonly known as pimples or zits. The red circle on your face and those with white or yellow center are pimples or zits.
A lot of people would normally touch and squeeze their acne thus causes scarring on the face. The term “scarring” meant that the skin collagen is damaged and will eventually lead to permanent change in texture of the skin particularly the face.
Acne scarring can be quite difficult to solve, sometimes chemical peel treatment is needed. However, not all acne scar treatments are absolutely effective. These treatment can somehow improve the skin but would not restore it perfectly.
Oftentimes these acne treatment are quite expensive and are no longer covered by your health insurance. But if you really want to spend money to treat acne scars; you need to make sure that your face is acne free before undergoing chemical peel treatment because it can cause new scars.
Surgical treatment can peel acne scars and is the most effective amongst the acne scar treatments offered. The surgical procedure may vary depending on the severity of the acne scars; these are the most common surgical treatment:

Chemical Peels
It is best to consult your dermatologist if you see any signs of acne on your face. It is not recommended that you buy over- the- counter products without consulting a skin professional. it could cause more harm to your face rather than help peel acne scars.
