Trim Levels and Engine
In this version of Durango, seven passengers can be seated comfortably. This vehicle is offered in three trim levels- base Express, top-line Citadel, and mid-level Crew. All trims come standard with a 3.6-liter V6 engine for the development of 290-horsepower.
The Citadel and Crew trims come optional with a 5.7-liter V8 engine with Chrysler’s Multi-Displacement System cylinder deactivation system. This engine has a sole transmission- a 5-speed automatic. The maximum towing ability of this engine is 7,400 pounds with the V8 engine and 6,200 pounds with the V6 engine. Both all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive configurations are offered for this engine.
Coming to safety features, 2011 Dodge Durango SLT integrates an advanced ABS, curtain-side airbags, traction control, antiskid system, and front-side airbags. It also has an optional trailer towing package, which includes a load-leveling suspension.
An adaptive cruise control, blind-sport alert, a navigation system with real-time traffic data, heated rear and front seats, leather upholstery, and a hard drive for storing picture files or digital-music are traditional on the Citadel and elective on the Crew. Xenon headlights and ventilated front seats are Citadel-exclusive traditional features. Both Citadel and Crew come optional with an optional DVD entertainment system.
