Best Cocktails For Cold Nights

Winter season is a time for hot and toasty cocktails that will spark up some flare with friends or a loved one, and warm up your body, mind and spirit. For starters, pull out that coffee and Irish Liquor and make yourself a Spanish Coffee. In your coffee mug add 1 ounce of Brandy, 3/4 ounce of Kahlua, 1/4 ounce of both Bacardi Rum and Tia Maria and fill the rest of the mug with your favorite coffee and top some whipped cream. Another hot drink to kick you up a notch is a Hot Toddy. Fill your mug 1ounces Whiskey, 1 ounce Honey, 1/3 ounce Lemon Juice, and 3 ounces of hot water and enjoy a soothing drink for your spirit and throat during those cold and chilling nights spent in front of the fireplace. There still is that enormous pot of Apple Cider sitting in the fridge from Thanksgiving and you really need a stiff cocktail to finish off your exuberant day of crazy American holiday life. Place that pot of cider on the stove and reheat the cider to a boil, and fill your mug 3/4 full. Add only 1/4 of Blackberry Brandy and you have yourself a delicious Snow Plow cocktail. All you late night owls could really enjoy some Hot Cocoa and Peppermint Schnapps. Two easy steps: fix your hot cocoa in your mug and add 1/4 ounce of your Peppermint Schnapps and add a bit of whipped cream. This tasty drink goes great with some traditional rocky road fudge and will surely be a hit with the family.

These four drinks are great ways to get warmed up by the fireplace, on your couch or in your dining room table with your friends. There is a flavor for everyone so try fixing all four of these drinks at your next gathering this winter and remember to drink responsibly and don’t drive home drunk or intoxicated.
