HOW TO MAKE NIGERIAN DELICACIES
The melon soup is a widely eaten dish in Native southern Nigeria. For all those who are interested in making this dish, it is really easy. Just follow this few steps below.
- Grinded melon seed
- Palm oil
- Magi cubes (two)
- Grinded pepper (1 tablespoon)
- Fish and meat/smoked fish e.t.c
- Stock fish
- Fresh vegetable leafs
- Native magi (optional)
- Washed bitter leaf(optional)
LETS BEGIN… HMMMM
Place pot on gas. Add water and allow boiling for some minutes. (Some people prefer bleaching the palm oil, but that is not included here).
Add oil, a little bit of tomato paste, grinded pepper, stock fish, native magi (if any), magi cubes and cover and allow boiling for five minutes.
Add the grinded melon seed, stir to taste,
step 4. Add other ingredients and leave to boil. Serve hot.
The melon soup can be served along side with Garri (Eba) and likes and can really make fora good dinner. though it is a very heavy dish, it really can be delicious once you get used to it.
*Note please always add the salt at the very end and make sure you taste before adding salt as the magi usually has some salt in it* More delicacies coming soon.
