Offer Vacation Incentives
Working everyday for the entire year can takes its toll on a person’s well-being. While there are many holidays in the year, it would still help to offer your employees more time for themselves. Aside from their vacation leave, you can offer even just a few hours more of vacation time whenever they do well on their job.
Whether you can afford to implement flex time for your employees depends highly on the nature of your company. However, if you can, let them choose their own schedules so that they can accommodate other things in their day other than just work. If you cannot afford to offer this, you can give them a chance to work for longer hours on some days and cut their work hours short for other days. You should also consider allowing them to work from home on some days. If this does not affect your business operations, implementing any of the aforementioned systems will make your employees very appreciative.
You don’t necessarily have to give out recognition certificates, though some companies find this very effective. You just have to commend your employees for a job well done whenever you like their performance. It is the nature of people to want to be complimented so make sure that you show your employees that you recognize their efforts. Recognizing the hard work of your employees won’t even have to cost you anything so make sure you do so. Those who never get recognized for what they contribute to the company tend to have very low morale and this is never good for productivity.
