How to Cleanse And Maintain Your Colon

The Columbus, a general 

In simple terms, the colon is a part of the intestines, and is often referred to as the large intestine or large intestine. It measures about 1.5 meters long, and apart from playing an important role in the digestive process of humans, the main functions include storage of waste, recovery of water from partially digested foods, maintaining the water balance in the body, and the absorption of some vitamins such as vitamin K. 

The colon takes the final step in the digestive process – the step that gives the stool to the rectum, which is responsible for defecation. During this step, which unfortunately becomes a repository for urbanized “compacted” the stool that can contain many unwanted toxins. Most people have anywhere from 5 pounds to 40 pounds of fecal matter in the colon at any given moment of time. Of this, more could be undesirable compacted matter, and according to many studies around the world, if not rinsed, it can lead to chronic symptoms of constipation and some believe that even bowel cancer may be contributable to that accumulation. 

The solution: colon cleanse 
A colon cleanse is simply the act of cleansing the colon of accumulated fecal matter. There are many ways to cleanse the colon of unwanted compacted fecal matter. Some are very basic, some require very intrusive and annoying actions, and some require the consumption of various plant or mineral resources. Different resources can be reduced in 5 categories: 

Change in diet 
A simple change in dietary habits can help in flushing the colon and maintain regularity. Consuming large amounts of fresh fruit and steamed vegetables and high fiber cereals and bran significantly help the colon to function properly. This can help to expel “some” of the compact field, but usually requires the assistance of one or more other remedies following .. 

Colon hydrotherapy and enemas 
Both techniques require the insertion of a device into the anus and water are forced into the colon to help dissolve some of the stools at the lower end of the colon. Colon Hydrotherapy differs in that it uses more water than an Enema and should always be administered by a healthcare worker. There are some DIY Enema kits available, but the truth is known, both are uncomfortable, invasive and can be very embarrassing. 

Herbal Remedies 
Most of the herbs used herbal remedies such as psyllium husk to act like a sponge as it works it’s way through the intestine. The husk swells when contacted with water and usually results in an emptying of the bowel, but there is no substantial evidence to support that actually dissolves some of the compact matter rest in the colon. 

Laxatives are a temporary measure for constipation (which is not a true colon cleanser) and is said to have many side effects. A laxative simply clears the bowel, and like medicinal herbs, laxative does nothing to clean or dissolve the condensed matter. 

Oxygen-based cleaners 
oxygen colon cleansing is based no doubt the only way to properly melt away that compacted matter is through an oxidation and reduction. Typically use specialized ozonated magnesium oxides to reduce the solid toxic mass into a liquid or gas. Works around the system, not just the large intestine like other forms of constipation treatments. Clean the intestinal tract and provides the amount of oxygen required in the way – all without the side effects of laxatives and discomfort of enemas and hydrotherapy. 

No matter which method you use to clean the colon, you should take a look at your eating habits. Changing your diet is the easiest way to ensure the proper functionality of the colon. It can also help reduce the frequency of the need to wash undesirable matter compacted coordination in the future.
