If you’ve always wanted to own Photoshop but couldn’t afford the high price tag, you should really check out the free download of Photoscape photo editor software on Cnet.com. I’m an artist who creates high quality abstract digital paintings and I use this free software for almost everything I create. It’s absolutely perfect. It’s easy to download, easy to use and has a ton of features.

Most of the art I sell is sold online on the internet, so I need software that produces high quality images every time. Many internet art gallery sites require a jpeg format and you can save your images in jpeg with Photoscape even if they weren’t jpeg to begin with. It gives me a high quality output every time. I can even use it to clean up art I have created with other software.

Here are just some of the things you can do with it: resize or crop your pictures, add custom frames and borders, sharpen images, add additional graphics, add special effects (like antique photo looks, different textures, gradient colors) and add text to your pictures with a ton of different type fonts.

You can also colorize or change the colors of your artwork. I’ve created a piece in green and loved the design and I recreated it in reds or blue tones with a couple of clicks. It’s that easy.

The list features seems endless. You can download your own free copy from cnet.com by searching for the word “Photoscape.” I’ve used this software to make pictures into a digital watercolors, oil painting and pencil drawings. You can spin shapes and colors into abstracts. It’s really a blast. Download it, load up one of your favorite pictures and play with it. You’ll be amazed to see how much fun it is and you’ll have a great time learning all the different features. And that’s a promise.
