Stargate SG-1: Window of Opportunity is a fun episode that highlights the 4th season of this science fiction series. It’s pretty humorous in many ways. Basically, Jack and Teal’c end up reliving the same few hours, but to everyone else, it’s like the first time.
The show is full of good bits, like Daniel’s response to Sam after she says something about Jack having actually read her report, or Jack riding a back through the corridors of Stargate Command. A very favorite moment has Jack juggling.
Now Richard Dean Anderson used to be a mime in his early days, so he really knows how to do this and ended up teaching just about everyone he worked with on the show how to juggle. Incorporating it into this hour was a neat idea.
At the end, the show does give us some drama as relates to the person responsible for this time loop that they’ve been in. There’s one spot that is especially touching when Jack mentions the death of his son. It just makes me cry.
The show on the whole is near perfect. It contains only two very brief bits that are out of place. Had they not been there, there would be nothing to complain about.
