Good news for all the programmers, hackers and software experts all over the world, facebook will be giving you an opportunity to stand out and earn as much as $5,000 and an opportunity to go to Facebook Main Headquarter in Palo Alto, California. 

 

In this coming year 2011 Facebook will be having its first “Hacker’s Cup” an annual algorithmic programming contest and it is an opportunity to all programmers, hackers and software experts around the world to stand out. This is your chance and a great opportunity to shine and show your talent and skills in programming and code development to facebook company. Registration opens on December 20, 2010 and the kick off date will be on January 10, 2011 at 0:00 UTC, all registered competitors will be given with 3 online problems as a qualification round and those who correctly solve at least 1 problem will proceed to round 1 that is consists of 3 sub-rounds, each round will last for 3 hours that will be offered in different times starting January 15, 2011 at 15:00 UTC to January 16, 2011 at 0:00 UTC. The top 1000 competitors in each of the 3 sub-rounds will advance to round 2. It means that there will be only 3000 competitors that can compete in the second round. The top 300 contestants in round 2 will receive an official Hacker Cup T-Shirt and Facebook will pay for the top 25 contestants in round 2 to come to Facebook Headquarter in Palo Atlo, California.  Out of this 25 contestant facebook will be giving $5,000 USD and title as world champion to the top hacker, $2,000 for 2nd place, $1,000 for 3rd, and $100 for 4th.
