Coming out of Lost Angeles, Far East Movement has been on the scene for a few years now but has really exploded in popularity over the last year. Their fantastic blend of electronic club music with hip hop has made for some very interesting and entertaining songs. Their first major studio album was released in October and is entitled Free Wired and features among other songs Girls on the Dance Floor which had previously been on their Animal album. For this article I chose what I think Far East Movement’s six best songs from Free Wired are for those who may be looking to get into their music.

Like a G6– I don’t know who hasn’t heard this song by now. Like a G6 has been one of the biggest singles of 2010 and it really is catchy.

Rocketeer– Rocketeer is a real feel good song featuring Ryan Tedder. I love the hook to this one and the instrumental is fantastic. Lots of references to flying haha.

She Owns the Night– Song about a girl who transforms for good girl by day to partier at night. The hook has a really pop sound to it and the electronic instrumental sounds wonderful.

Don’t Look Now– Don’t look now has a guest feature from Keri Hilson and it sounds a bit euphoric and not as heavy with the drums as the other songs.

Girls on the Dance Floor– This song is perfect for the clubs not only because of the content but the beat is insane and just makes you want to dance.

White Flag– Kayla Kai provides the hook for White flag which will get stuck in your head if you listen to the song a few times. I don’t like the beat as much as the other songs on this list but it’s still cool.
