Stargate Sg-1: The Tomb

Not all of the fifth season shows were stellar hits, but this one was highly enjoyable and I always look forward to seeing it.  The series and show in question are Stargate SG-1: The Tomb. It’s a keeper outing from the start, which has SG-1 on a planet on which Daniel is trying to determine how to get inside of a ziggurat.  Jack gets so impatient.  It’s a hoot, a favorite scene.

What ends up happening is that SG-1 has to work with a Russian team to investigate the tomb.  They believe another Russian team is somewhere inside.  The idea of working together has Jack on edge and leads to some very funny and snarky moments between the two colonels who lead their teams.

Naturally, I love the scene where once again there is a period of waiting for Daniel to deduce how to get inside the place.  It’s a bit of a repeat, but Jack pushes Daniel’s buttons a bit more, and, well, it’s really funny.  I always laugh when I watch it.

If you’ve seen the outtakes, the show is even more fun.  Richard Dean Anderson made a name goof and I can’t help but think of it when I watch the scene in the episode.

I love Daniel’s bit in the hour, too.  He has a couple of good lines.  It’s just a neat hour.
