Season 4 of Stargate SG-1 ended with the traditional much expected cliffhanger episode that would be concluded with the start of the science fiction show’s 5th season. This show, entitled Exodus, did involve all four members of SG-1. There was a lot of action, much of which was thrilling to watch, though I wasn’t all that fond of everything that happened.
I’ve said many times that I’m not that fond of the Jaffa centric shows. Coinciding with that, I really am not a fan of this ‘Jaffa revenge thing’ which surrounds Christopher Judge’s Teal’c character. I have severe issues with his choice and need for revenge at the risk of his supposed friends and teammates.
This is one of the reasons why the Teal’c character just isn’t one that I enjoy all that much. He was always too willing to put his friends in harm’s way just so he can selfishly do what he wants.
In the show, the team is supposed to blow up a sun, and that does allow for some comedy bits to occur, including some between Jack and Sam’s Tok’ra dad, Jacob.
Exodus makes for a good ending to the season with moments to smile at and good action to enjoy.
