A Review Of The TV Show Family Guy

I love this show!! Family guy has been going (on and off) for about ten years. It is an animated comedy television sitcom, created by Seth MacFarlane. Is not a children’s programme, this is for adults but is not quite as smutty as shows like South Park. It’s probably somewhere in between the Simpsons and South Park.

It was cancelled by Fox back in 2000 and then again in 2002, but a huge following and massive DVD sales inspired Fox to give it another try. Since then it really has gone from strength to strength.

The show follows an American Family. The father Peter Griffin is a over weight slightly crazy fellow. His wife Louis is the typical stereotype American woman. They have three kids, Chris, a teenager who is a little slow and has some quality lines. Then there is Meg, a social outcast, bit of a geek who just wants to be accepted. Then there is Stuie, the baby, who can talk! He is an evil genius who plans world domination. He is one of the funniest characters and many shows are based around his antics. They also have a talking dog named Brian, he is very intelligent and always has a scary comment on hand!

There are several other characters who pop up from time to time and play a part in the show. There are some hilarious one liners, usually delivered by Peter. There is loads of politically incorrect things going on, which really makes it funny. I don’t know how they get away with much of it! The show always make’s sure it is on the edge and pushes the boundaries as far as possible without going over the edge. This is the kind of show that would offend some people.

You can catch this show several times a week on either BBC3 or on FX on sky. If you have never seen this, just watch a few episodes, you will love it! It is one of those shows that is so easy to get into and one you have seen a few you soon get hooked. Family Guy really is top notch, quite simply you must watch Family Guy I know Peter Griffin will make smile.
