Best Free Apps For The Iphone

Here are 10 of the greatest and totally free apps produced for the iPhone.

Tap Defense: This highly addictive game sees you fighting off all kinds of fantasy beasts. Part of the siege genre, the aim is to build defences to keep the enemies at bay and stop them battering down your gates!

Harbor Master: Another free and addictive game, Harbor Master challenges you to guide boats into docks by drawing a suitable path for them to follow. As the game progresses it understandably gets harder and takes on an extra dimension with multiple traffic prioritisation.

Grimm’s Fairy Tales: This fantastic free app contains over 200 of the Grimm Brothers’ works including the classics such as Sleeping Beauty.

PayPal: This app is great if you use PayPal regularly and are away from home. Check your balance, send money in multiple currencies and manage your account on the move.

101 Photo Effects: This free app has all you need to edit your photos – filters, cropping and imaging straightening tools.

Adobe Photoshop Express: Although this is a pared-down version of the full suite, it is brilliant for editing, sorting and sharing your images. And it’s completely free to download of course!

Type Pad: This is great if you’re a blogger. Record your comments and upload them immediately or store as drafts and amend later on.

Quickvoice Recorder: Record notes and easily mail them to friends and colleagues via your phone. The quality of this app usually comes at a price but Quickvoice Recorder is completely free to download. Dinner: This free app is great for quick and easy recipes. You can even enter a list of ingredients you have available. But my favourite feature is the ‘surprise dish’ – shake your phone and a random meal suggestion will appear.

Parlingo Instant Messenger: Very easy to use and navigate, Parlingo IM allows you to connect to all of the main instant messenger clients in a single free app.
