The psychedelic experience is typified as the insight of features of one’s own brain activities more often than not occupied to everyday rousing awareness, and it is also defined as the imaginative excitement of the intellect freed as of its normal commands.  How one can enter into this exciting psychedelic experience?  Is it a state of distortion of senses called illusion? Or an extrasensory perception experience?  Or any hallucinated state of mind?  As no twisting of senses happen during a psychedelic experience and so this is not a state of illusion. This is not an extrasensory perception (ESP), as ESP needs some stimulation, but not in the psychedelic experience.  Psychedelic experience happens to one when he is induced by some kind of drugs called psychedelic drugs or psychoactive drugs.

How these drugs create a psychedelic experience to one?  These drugs have certain chemical compounds that thwart the blood-brain barrier (BBB), in this these they mix with blood and cerebrospinal fluid in the central nervous system and so it has an effect on the brain activities that produces modifications in awareness, creative activities, frame of mind, and performance.  Actually these drugs act throughout the blood capillaries in the central nervous system to create those effects, which does not happen when a man is in normal state of mind.  In this state one can feel the state of pleasantness called euphoric state. These kind of psychoactive drugs that create psychedelic experience come under the category of hallucinogen drugs in pharmacology.

Psychedelic drugs are medically used, for example, MDMA, THC, phencyclidine, and others. Many studies have proven to create positive effects on human brain by psychoactive drugs to produce a psychedelic experience.  A psychedelic experience consists of five ranks, such as rank 1, rank 2, rank 3, rank 4, and rank 5. In rank 1, the drugs, the intoxicant will get a ‘pelting’ effect and so he experiences some color hallucinations and some auditory hallucination effects may also happen like hearing a louder music like. Cannabis type drugs produce these effects whenever given in elevated quantity, but 4-PO-DMT will create these effects whenever given in low dose.  In rank 2, the intoxicant will get both visual and auditory hallucinations, such as some colors and sounds, as well as experiences the moving of objects if he shuts his eyes. Repeated interruptive thinking models started to happen in this rank. In rank 3, one can see the multicolor patterns even in the walls and the faces of others too. Three-dimensional patterns of objects with bewilderment of thoughts happen, and so the person becomes disoriented of time and place. In rank 4, the person’s sense of self or personality starts to split into many and he is totally disoriented to time and so starts to feel ESP like sense, as his senses become mixed. In rank 5, the person now in a state of loss of total connection with his actuality or reality and so he reaches a yogic state of mind or extraterrestrial state or state of godliness.

In summary, a psychedelic experience in the research perspective is good, but one person should not try this to get him or her intoxicated as these drugs have addictive effects.  Many psychedelic drugs whenever applied in many levels from low to high give different psychedelic effects in a person.  In modest levels, these drugs provide a state of contemplation and creativity, but without the specialist advice or using for recreational purposes will certainly not provide good results.
