Are you an NBA fan? Well, get ready for a double whammy! According to EA Sports President Peter Moore’s blog, NBA Elite 11 has been delayed to an unannounced launch window. As explained by Moore himself:
“This year, we set extremely ambitious goals for our new franchise, NBA ELITE. We are creating a game that will introduce several breakthrough features that have been missing from the basketball genre. Unfortunately, NBA ELITE 11 is not yet ready and we have made a decision to delay next month’s launch. We are going to keep working until we’re certain we can deliver a breakthrough basketball experience.”
Fear not though, because if its an NBA fix you’re wanting, EA also announced that NBA Jam will now be launched as a standalone game on the PS3 and 360 just in time for the holidays! This to compliment the Wii version of the game which is still on schedule for an October 5 release date.
Unfortunately, PS3 and 360 fans will have to wait “for more news soon on the exact timing of that release.” All we can do now is wonder whether or not NBA Jam will cost $59.99 like the majority of its console brethren or perhaps retail for at more consumer-friendly price point. What do you think? How much are you willing to pay to dribble down memory lane on a “next-gen” console?
