How to Read Tarot Cards – 02 – The High Priestess (Reversed)

This is an article in a series on how to read the Tarot Cards. This series contains an in depth look at each of the cards’ possible interpretations within a reading in context of their position. I will be using the Celtic Cross spread.

The High Priestess (Reversed) On Her Own

The High Priestess (Reversed) on her own is suggesting a person who is not very mentally or emotionally strong. They base their feelings on those of others, and often feel the same way about any situations as those close to them. They avoid confrontation, and often hide their true feelings, even from themselves.

The High Priestess (Reversed) as the Center suggests there is a lot of emotional turmoil surrounding the situation. Feelings have been hurt, and will continue to as long as the situation remains as it is.

The High Priestess (Reversed) as the Obstacle suggests the receiver isn’t very trusting of their own emotions, and is letting others make bad choices for them. Finding a positive emotional outlet is key in overcoming this situation.

The High Priestess (Reversed) as the Recent Future suggests the is wandering into a period of unsureness in this situation. There is doubt, and a lot of second guessing. She is frazzled, and can’t decide where she should direct her attention.

The High Priestess (Reversed) as the Subconscious suggests the receiver has a lot of bad feelings about the situation. At worst, there is dread; at best, there is confusion.
