Let me tell you what I know about Genital Herpes.

Genital Herpes is like ugly luggage you can give it away but it always comes back. The symptoms of Genital Herpes usually occur within 2 to 4 weeks of exposure. These symptoms are sores. They look kind of like blisters. It takes around two weeks to a month for these symptoms to heal. Other symptoms include fever and swollen glands. Sometimes these symptoms go unnoticed or just get blown off as minor unrelated ailments. Genital Herpes symptoms typically occur in the form of blisters or bumps that break out four or five times in a year. It can take years before a person thinks it is time to see the doctor because the symptoms are so slight for Genital herpes and go away after a while. After being officially diagnosed the first outbreak of Genital Herpes becomes clear with the 20/20 hind sight.

The best thing to do is get tested regularly if you lead a lifestyle that puts you at risk for Genital Herpes. The next best thing is to drop by the doctors office if you see funny little bumps anywhere they aint supposed to be. Just show the doctor your symptoms and let him check it out. You do not have to do a full blown STD test just because you stopped by. Do ask him about or at least give him a clue about what you fear the symptoms mean.
