Every year we travel up the Florida Turnpike to visit Orlando, and every time I am amazed at the changes that occur in such a short time in this vibrant and dynamic city. Orlando just isn’t about Disney, Universal Studios, and Sea World, although it would take you weeks just to see all that those 3 parks have to offer, it is a huge metropolitan city that is growing at an amazing pace.
Orlando is an ever changing city that is not only for tourists, but home to millions of people who enjoy the arts, sports, and fine dining. Probably the number one reason people revisit Orlando is to enjoy the parks with their kids. What your kids enjoy at the age of three is vastly different from what they will enjoy at the age of five or six. My kids have graduated from kid exclusive rides and now enjoy the roller coasters and water rides that they were once too small to ride.
You will revisit Orlando to create more family memories as your family grows from strollers to roller coasters. Not to say that Orlando is exclusive to families. My wife and I traveled there many times for the water parks in the summers, the themed restaurants at night, and all the comedy clubs and night clubs in between. Adults without children will have an absolute blast in Orlando, and Kennedy Space Center is only a short drive down I-4. There are many exclusive hotels in the area that cater to adults who want to relax by the pool, get massages, or just play a round of golf with your wife or buddies.
Another reason you will revisit Orlando is because you can not possibly see everything in three weeks, much less the usual seven day vacation. The parks constantly update and add rides, hotels, and unique experiences that you can not find anywhere else in the world. Disney also offers a first class Disney vacation package that includes park admissions and a 3 or 4 day cruise on the Disney Wonder. Almost every major city offers flights into Orlando, and the parks are only a short ride away. Other than Las Vegas, Orlando is one of the few places you can land in the morning, and be in your hotel or walking through the park by lunchtime. Orlando is built around tourism, and they make your visit extremely easy. From arrival to departure, everything is taken care of by your hotel. I highly encourage you to stay at a hotel inside the park. Once inside the park hotel, you will not need your car as shuttle buses, trains, cabs, and on site transportation can take you anywhere you would like to go. I also highly recommend the group tours offsite. Not only can you make friends, but you can relax while someone else does the driving.
We go back every year, and you will want to come back too, just to see the amazing changes, and create some wonderful memories for you and your family
