Having a clean bedroom is an important step to having a restful sleep. It makes getting ready in the morning easier, and its just nice to look at. But, the bedroom tends to be the room that junk gets thrown in when unexpected company arrives, or dirty laundry that just didn’t make it to the laundry room ends up on the floor. There are very important things you can do that will not only help you clean the room, but not get unmotivated … lose interest … look around and see that you’ve taken everything out and now you don’t want to finish.
First begin by taking all the dirty laundry and laundry all over your floor and separate it into baskets. Bring it to your laundry room. The simple removal of all clothing from your room will immediately give it a cleaner less cluttered look. So, then get a plastic garbage bag and remove all the garbage from your room … soda cans … receipts … broken hangs …. ruined socks. Everything. What you will be left with is random items that don’t even belong in the bedroom. The only things that should be in your bedroom are your bed, furniture which holds your clothing, a couple decor pieces (art, candles) and a few accent pieces. You can then leisurely do your laundry and as you wash it decide if you should keep it, throw it out, give it to a friend, or donate it.
If you follow these steps you will be well on your way to have an uncluttered bedroom that is more likely to provide you with a restful atmosphere to rest and recharge at night. Happy cleaning!
