Quick Reference for Making Carrot Cake

In sequel to my previous entry, here is a quick reference for making carrot cake. In making a carrot cake, the ingredients you will need are cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, white sugar, cooking oil, eggs, carrots and crushed pineapple. Prepare the ingredients along with your other baking paraphernalia such as toothpicks, a teaspoon/tablespoon set, baking cups, bowls, sifter, mixer, grater, and baking pan.

To start, sift together three cups of cake flour, two teaspoons of baking soda, two and a half teaspoons of baking powder, and two cups of white sugar. After sifting these ingredients, the next step would be to create a crater in the middle of the mixed powders and add one cup of cooking oil and three eggs. Then, mix well until mixture becomes homogenous.

Before proceeding, grate carrots first. After which, add two and a half cups of grated carrots and a cup of crushed pineapple into the mixture. Then, mix well and put it in a baking pan. Bake it at 190O centigrade for about 45 minutes. Don’t forget to preheat oven first.

After 45 minutes, it is time to check if the cake is ready. To do this, insert a toothpick through the cake, if the toothpick has crumbs when you take it off, bake the cake further. Repeat this test until no crumbs come off with the toothpick. The delicious and healthy carrot cake is ready to serve when it’s not too hot anymore. What are you waiting for?
